Let's get ready for school
This is a website that will give you information on what is helpful for students to know prior to starting kindergarten and things that we will be learning during the year.

Here is a great website for printable worksheets to reinforce concepts already learned or to begin learning. There are great pre-writing worksheets, cutting practice pages, math papers and other areas of learning.

During the first few weeks of school, our math objective is to have students recognize numerals 1-5, develop proper number formation, count objects and match with corresponding number, and correctly identify number words for each numeral. I would love to have you print 2 copies of this worksheet, one to complete by matching numerals to pictures then number words. The other copy would be to cut up and use for matching games. The worksheet is found at: http://www.kidzone.ws/math/k-match1.htm
Always talk positively with your children regarding school. Positivity breads positivity. Put a positive twist on the things you say, such as instead of saying, "I'm going to miss you so much." say things like, "It will be fun to hear what you did today when I pick you up." "You are going to learn so much today." "I will see you soon."

Please share any resources you have found helpful in preparing your child for kindergarten in the comments below. It will be wonderful to get ideas from each other to collaborate our efforts of preparation. Thanks and happy learning!
