Meet your teacher

This is me:
I am your new kindergarten teacher at Greenville Elementary.  I have five children Autumn 18, Ashlyn 16, Natalie 12, Ryan 10, and Evan 7.  My husband's name is Austin.  We will celebrate our 20th anniversary this September.  My family lives in Nibley.

This is my family:

I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Family Human Development.  Prior to that, I earned a certificate in Early Childhood Education at Utah Valley State College (now UVU). I had some fun experiences working with many children as a teacher in all of the developmental labs.

For the past five years, I have been the head teacher of A-2-Z Academy and for the past six years, director of A-2-Z Summer Camps.  From 2013-16, I worked as a paraprofessional at Heritage Elementary as a kindergarten reading teacher and classroom aide.  Last year, I became a kindergarten teacher at Greenville.

Working with children is a love of mine and I hope you will recognize that.  Being a teacher allows me the opportunity to be a positive influence in the lives of children.  I'm happy to be doing something so fulfilling!

Life keeps me pretty busy.  I don't really have a lot of spare time, but if I do I love going on vacations with my family.  I would be willing to go anywhere, but I think a preferred vacation for me is somewhere not too crowded with amazing scenery.  We took our puppy on a couple hikes this summer and enjoy the quietness of nature and opportunities to be together.  Although it tends to be a pretty crowded place, we are planning to go to Disneyland and Harry Potter World this fall, before my daughter graduates from high school.

This is me at Lagoon:
My parents took our whole family to Lagoon and guess what?  I was thinking of you when I was there.  Since I knew about the train theme in our classroom, I snagged a 'selfie' as the train went by.

Here is a selfie at Heber Valley Railroad:

What did you do this summer?
